HOW IT BEGAN

A.J. and Caitlin’s journey began in 2015, crossing paths when they were both living in Southern California forging their respective entrepreneurial endeavors. Caitlin, at the helm of her own non-profit, was also making waves as a professional speaker, focusing on generational dynamics in the workplace. Meanwhile, A.J. was steering KarmaBox, a healthy vending company, towards a remarkable $1 million in its first year. United by their passion for entrepreneurship, their friendship was instant. Their collaboration extended to serving on the board of the National Speakers Association in Southern California, which ultimately sparked the idea to create a podcast. Their aim? To bring together like-minded entrepreneurs, offering insights and inspiration for those eager to embark on their own business ventures. Now years later with dozens of episodes and thousands of downloads, the 40 Under 40 Podcast is still inspiring listeners around the globe!

About A.J. MacQuarrie

A.J. MacQuarrie is an entrepreneur who has been through it all, from the highs of turning a $20,000 investment into a multi-million dollar business, to the lows of sitting in bankruptcy court next to people who invested their savings- and their trust- in that business. He is the former CEO of KarmaBox Vending, one of the world’s first healthy vending companies that expanded to over 80 cities across the United States in just 3.5 years. He launched his current venture, Keep Going HQ, to help entrepreneurs spark growth, build on ideas, and take action with affordable marketing solutions, inspiring programs, and helpful free resources. A.J. is an MBA Candidate at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business and lives in the Boston area with his loving partner, feisty Scottish Terrier (Benson), and sweet Frenchie (Blue).

About Caitlin Crommett

Caitlin Crommett is a Millennial (and proud!), a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and a speaker on the multigenerational workplace. Her interest in generational connection began at age 15, when she founded a national nonprofit called DreamCatchers, which serves to fulfill end-of-life Dreams for typically-elderly hospice patients through chapters run by youth in high school or college. These powerful interactions between generations sparked her passion for facilitating greater connection on a larger scale. Her 2016 book, “How to Attract Millennials to Your Workplace: And Actually Keep Us!”, focused on techniques and strategies for engaging Millennial employees and volunteers, and was the catalyst for her national speaking career. Since then, she has been brought in by companies and organizations nationwide to inspire, motivate, innovate, and connect teams in new ways, and has been a guest author and contributor on several platforms and media outlets.
